Week 6: Pork Chili (Verde Style)

Pork Chili (Verde Style) This is a recipe I devised while hanging out at the table with friends discussing our different approaches to food. I wanted to make chili but not my usual red style. so I made up this recipe and then I refined it, and then I refined it a little more. I think this makes a great change in pace from texas style chili, so try it out and enjoy! INGREDIENTS 3 lbs. boneless pork shoulder 7 tomatillos 5-6 cloves garlic 1 white onion 3-4 jalapenos 1 cup water 2 1/2 cups white kidney beans 1/2 cup black beans 8 oz. monterey jack cheese 6- 8 oz. sour cream 2 limes 1 bunch cilantro 1-2 cups vegetable stock 1/2 cup white wine 1 tsp. cumin 1 tsp.
